Building the Wooden buck for the Solitude. Note the 1:1 drawing in the background. I am building 2 of these. One for me and one for a friend. I came up with this concept in 2001. I knew nothing about car design or fabrication then.
I am trying to make the Ecotec engine look vintage. There were no 3D files online so I went to a junk yard and dimensioned an engine and created in 3D max.
For my son Evan's second birthday I will make him a model of the most amazing race car of all time. It is called the Baker Torpedo. Cleveland Ohio USA. It was electric. It was the first car to go 100 mph. It had 4 inch shoulder harnesses. It was aerodynamic. The year? 1902!!!!!!
This is the rough draft for the owner's manual for my car that I designed. The black page is the cover sheet and the text will be letter pressed on thick paper. The white pages with the red script will be printed on translucent paper that will allow the viewer to see the page behind it. The artist rendering (In green) will be the center fold.
